Iron Man is back in action — and this time, he brought some new buddys along with him.
The first trailer for director Jon Favreau’s highly anticipated premiered online Wednesday night, the result of a short-lived (but nonetheless mysterious) viral marketing operation.

While movie lovers have already caught glimpses of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and his armed to the teeth sidekick War Machine (Don Cheadle) thanks to the film’s previously released poster, the new trailer easily gives you the best idea of what moviegoers can expect when “Iron Man 2″ hits theaters in the new year.

A helmetless Iron man stands before an open airplane hatch, begging his lovely collegue Pepper Potts (Gyneth Paltrow) for a good luck kiss. Pepper obliges by placing a huge smootch on Tony’ removed helmet, which she promptly tosses out into the open air
1:25 – 1:27: Tony opens up his shirt, revealing that the area surrouning the arc reactor implanted in his chest…
1:32 – 1:33: Nick Fury ( Samuel Jackson) appears in a blink and you’ll miss it cameo.
